Our History

The American School of El Salvador was founded in 2005 by the AsociaciÃ³n de Colegios de El Salvador. Its first Principal was Mr. Richard Cohen. Lic. Teresa Jimenez Aguilar and Lic. Ricardo Mena worked on the educational planning and management across the ministry, for approval and authorization of operation. all educational documents required and these charters approved by MINED entities were developed. The idea of founding a bilingual institution was born from the need that a second language was reflected in our society, and in turn provide the student population of El Salvador, education with principles, values and excellence. Since the beginning of its functioning in August 2005, we established the level of Preschool all the way to high school. On the 3 of January, two thousand and six, we received the first agreement approval No. 15-1581 and 150305 by MINED, and on the same date for the area of Early Childhood and Primary.
